Director of Product Marketing - Portland or Palo Alto

We are seeking a natural leader who understands our products, has deep insights into our customers, and can explain simply and succinctly how our software will change the way they work forever. This person will oversee our product marketing team and guide the way our sales force and marketing team communicate to the market . The role will report in directly to the SVP of Products and be responsible for sales enablement, supporting entry into new markets, analyst relations, and the positioning and messaging of Jive’s products. The right candidate will be creative, articulate, and engaging with a proven track record of success. While a background in social software is not required, the ideal candidate will clearly understand the power & potential of social software in the business context and be a passionate user of popular social software platforms in the consumer space

Responsibilities

* Understand Jive’s customers, why they buy our products, and how to delight them
* Creatively enable sales to clearly communicate and demonstrate the value of our software to the enterprise
* Develop strategies for entry into new markets and verticals
* Develop and oversee plans to increase adoption within our customer base and
* Manage and develop our product marketing team
* Support sales efforts in EMEA & the Federal space as well as develop strategies to support entry into new markets
* Oversee the creation and management of Jive’s sales collateral
* Foster deep relationships with strategic customers and oversee customer reference/success programs

Requirements

* Deep knowledge of how to sell to the enterprise

* At least 10 years of product marketing or related experience in enterprise software
